Good morning!
Today, I will present to you guys a speech about my field trip to the esplanade few days back.
The exterior design of the esplanade was special! It was like Singapore's signature: Food! And it was like the splitting image of the king of fruits, the durian, just that it was a google times bigger.
In it, it had many recreational and relaxing rooms. There was the Concert Hall, the Esplanade's crown jewel. It mostly hosts acoustic music performances.
Then, there was the Theatre. It has a capacity of 2000 people, not sumos, but normal-sized. it's architectual design is in a horseshoe formation. It is the biggest stage in Singapore!
Next, there was the Recital Studio. It is most ideal for performances like chamber music, solo recitals, cabarets and jazz concerts.
Also, there was the theatre Studio. No idea what the name means, but I'm in no position to rename it. Anyway, back on the subject, it is suitable to change the precision of lighting, sound system, and staging. It can be seen from different positions and angles.
Then, there's the Rehearsal Studio. It's a supporting venue for large performances.
Next, there's the Hospitality Spaces. it offers big and small functions. Amazing!
Also, there's the Bay Room, which is used for hosting private events.
Moving on, there's also the Roof terrace. There are performances happening here, and also, you can hold a buffet here! It offers a spectecular view of the bay, and the city skyline.
Then, Outdoor Thetre's the place where you can go catch free performances!
The Edge, yet another outdoor performing area, offers experimental and innovative performances.
Then, Passages' the place where you can find out more about the centre’s history, usage and place in the development of arts in Singapore.
Then, there's the Community Wall. Located on the third level of Esplanade Mall, the works on display will surprise and delight people of all ages and gender, that is, only 2 genders.
Also, there are Skylight Cones lining the thoroughfare from the mall to the concourse. They call it, "Theatre Street". It makes an unusual exhibition space, surprising and delighting passerbys who chance to look up.
In the light of the growing number of video works and multi-media artwork, the plasma screens throughout the centre are an important source for screening and presenting certain forms of screen based art. This place is known as Plasmas @ Basement.
And to you young kids out there who are finding a place to earn money by performing, please go to the Esplanade! It's the best place for you guys!
